I was a sociology undergraduate. Yes, I had a lot of background in computer programming that I was self-taught with, but it didn’t stop me.

I went ahead and decided, “I don’t need that background. I’m creative. I can learn things about a field that I want to have been in.” And I did. And 250-something patents later, I’m still going strong.
