this is Gary Schuster with Innovation Cafe and today we’re going to do picking a good patent lawyer in under a minute might take you longer than a minute but this talk I’ll take a minute but when you’re picking a patent lawyer basically they need to be good at their job but they also need to get along with you really well and they need to almost be able to read your mind because your patent disclosures won’t always be in the type of language that you know other people can understand you might inadvertently leave something out that they can ask you about so they have to have really good insight into your way of thinking and they should have a lot of experience in your field of expertise and most importantly you’re living with this patent lawyer it is like a work marriage in a sense you’ll be talking to them all the time they’re going to help control your future in some significant ways so you want to make sure it’s someone you can get along with someone who is competent and someone who has great insight into the way you think and from Innovation Cafe it’s Gary Schuster signing off
