Hey, Cameron Powell here, and I want to talk really briefly about neurodiversity and innovation.
There’s a growing body of research showing that neurodivergent thinkers — people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other cognitive differences — are disproportionately represented among successful innovators and inventors. And that makes sense when you think about it.
Innovation requires seeing things differently, making unexpected connections, and having the persistence to pursue ideas that others might overlook. These are traits that many neurodivergent people naturally possess. The challenge is that our educational system and workplace structures often aren’t built to support these kinds of thinkers.
So if you’re neurodivergent and you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit the mold — that might be exactly what makes you an innovator. Lean into it.
